Ai Group ATC currently has multiple apprenticeship opportunities for motivated candidates who want to begin their career within the Mechanical Engineering sector. Our apprenticeships are with professional, blue chip companies in the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne. You will be trained in all aspects of the trade by professional tradesmen, in supportive team environments.
Suitable candidates will possess a great work ethic, be punctual and reliable and have a genuine interest in completing their apprenticeship term in a fantastic and supportive working environment.
All training and protective equipment is supplied and TAFE fees are paid for by Ai Group ATC.

What is involved in a Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship?
> Examine and evaluate drawings and specification for requirements.
> Operate and adjust metalworking machines and create parts or tools by turning, boring, milling, shaping, slotting, grinding or drilling metal stock or components.
> Fit and assemble metal parts, tools or sub-assemblies (including brazing or welding parts, repair or replace faulty parts).
> Cut, thread, bend and install hydraulic and pneumatic pipes and lines.
> Set up and/or operate hand and machine tools, welding equipment or Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) machines.
> Ensure accuracy and quality of finished parts, tools or sub-assemblies.
